I grew up in Wilmington. That used to be the largest privately-owned airport in the country.

Shame it's all gone to hell there now.

Glad I left.

At least there's a long 6 foot thick slab of concrete left. I don't know what the town was like in it's heydey, but it's didn't seem bad. Friendly and not a lot of boarded up businesses that I could see.
